  1. 2 cups apple cubes

  2. 4 tbsp finely chopped celery

  3. 4 cups lettuce leaves, torn into pieces

  4. 1/2 cup corn flakes

  5. To be mixed into a dressing

  6. 1/4 cup curds (dahi)

  7. zest of 1 lemon

  8. 1 tbsp finely chopped basil

  9. 2 tbsp grated apples

  10. salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the salad, except the corn flakes and mix well.

  2. Chill for at least 2 hours.

  3. Add the corn flakes and the dressing to the salad just before serving. Toss the salad and serve immediately.
