  1. 4 Eggs - separated (large)

  2. 4 cups 250g / 8.8oz All-purpose flour

  3. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  4. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Sugar

  5. 3/4 cup 177ml Beer

  6. 2 cups 474ml Milk

  7. 1 tablespoon 15ml Melted butter Strawberry preserves - for serving

  1. Recipe Instructions In mixing bowl beat egg white until stiff; set aside. In another mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored, add flour and mix well. Add beer, milk, salt and butter and beat until smooth. Carefully fold in egg whites. Pour a little batter in 6-inch greased skillet. Rotate skillet to spread batter over surface. Brown on both sides. Repeat until all batter is used. Serve hot with strawberry preserves. This recipe yields about 18 pancakes.
