  6. 3 lb 4-inch Cucumbers

  7. 5 ea Med. Onions

  8. 1 T Mustard Seed

  9. 1 qt Cider Vinegar

  10. 1 c Sugar

  11. 2 t Pickling Salt

  12. Wash the cucumbers, quarter them lengthwise, and soak them in ice-water

  13. 2 hours. Peel and slice the onions and pack them in the bottoms of

  14. pint jars. Pack the cucumbers lengthwise in the jars. Combine the

  15. mustard seed, vinegar, sugar and salt, bring to a boil and boil for 1

  16. minute. Fill the jars to overflowing with the boiling-hot syrup and seal.
