  1. 1 pound(s) medium shrimp , shelled and deveined 1 1/4 cup(s) fresh orange juice

  2. 1/2 cup(s) fresh lime juice

  3. 2 red bell peppers , cut into 1/4-inch dice

  4. 1 avocado , cubed

  5. 1 medium red onion , cut into 1/4-inch dice

  6. 667 cup(s) chopped cilantro

  7. 1/3 cup(s) chopped fresh basil or mint , 1 teaspoon(s) salt

  8. 1/2 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes

  1. In medium saucepan with steamer basket set over simmering water, steam shrimp (covered) for 2 minutes, or until cooked through. Transfer shrimp to shallow bowl large enough to hold them in single layer and pour in orange and lime juices. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.

  2. In large bowl, stir together bell peppers, tomato, avocado, onion, cilantro, basil, salt, and red pepper flakes. Add shrimp and citrus juices and toss gently to combine. Serve chilled.
