  11. This basic recipe is very good as it is, but

  12. variations using different fresh herbs (minced

  13. shallots or garlic, mustard, horseradish, and so

  14. forth) are just as wonderful. SOFTEN THE SWEET butter.

  15. Mix in fresh lemon juice, freshly minced parsley, salt

  16. and freshly ground pepper. Makes 1/2 Cup --
