  1. 2 1/2 pounds codfish, cut in

  2. 4 pieces 1/2 stalk celery, washed, chopped fine

  3. 2 carrots, peeled, chopped fine

  4. 4 tablespoons butter

  5. 3 cups water Seasonings to taste

  1. Instructions Cook the celery and carrots together in the water with the seasonings and the butter for about 10 minutes. Put slices of codfish in a small baking pan. Pour over them the carrot and celery mixture. Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes. Then serve.
