  7. 1/2 c Butter

  8. 2 tb Corn syrup

  9. 12 Sl Sandwich bread

  10. 6 Egg; beaten

  11. 1 1/2 c Milk

  12. 1 ts Vanilla

  13. 1/4 ts Salt

  14. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a small

  15. saucepan; cook over medium heat until thickened,

  16. stirring constantly. Pour syrup mixture into a

  17. 13x9x2-in baking dish. Place

  18. 6 slices of bread on top

  19. of syrup mixture. Top with remaining 6 slices of

  20. bread. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt, stirring

  21. until blended. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread

  22. slices. Cover and chill 8 hours. Bake, uncovered, at

  23. 350 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly
