  1. 15 oz Chow Mein Noodles

  2. 1/4lb Peeled small shrimp

  3. 60 to 75 per pound size

  4. 1/4c Chopped chicken

  5. 1/4c Slivered Chinese BBQ pork

  6. 1 c Chicken broth

  7. 1 tb Cornstarch

  8. 1 ts Oyster sauce

  9. 1/2ts Granulated sugar

  10. 1/2ts MSG (Optional)

  11. 2 tb Slivered onion

  12. 2 tb Sliced canned mushrooms

  13. 2 tb Slivered bamboo shoots

  14. (not canned)

  15. 1/4c Vegetable oil, divided

  16. 2 Garlic cloves, minced

  17. 1 1/2c Fresh bean sprouts

  18. 1/4c Slivered bok choy

  19. 1/4c Slivered carrot

  20. 1/4c Slivered green pepper

  21. 1/4c Slivered celery

  22. 2 tb Sliced water chestnuts

  23. 1/8ts Salt

  1. + Boil chow mein noodles according to package directions.

  2. Drain.

  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok or very large frying pan.

  4. Stir-fry noodles for 3 to 5 minutes, or until crisp and light brown.

  5. Remove from wok and set aside.

  6. Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil and garlic.

  7. Add bean sprouts, bok choy, carrot, green pepper, celery, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and onion to wok.

  8. Stir-fry for several minutes over high heat.

  9. Add shrimp, chicken and barbecued pork.

  10. Continue stir-frying several minutes.

  11. Add broth and cover with lid.

  12. Cook with lid on for 3 to 4 minutes.

  13. Combine Cornstarch with cold water.

  14. Stir in oyster sauce, sugar, MSG, if used, and salt.

  15. Add sauce and noodles to wok.

  16. Continue cooking just until sauce thickens about 1 minute.

  17. Serve immediately.
