  1. 4 cups chicken broth

  2. 5 large eggs

  3. 1/4 cup heavy or whipping cream

  4. 1 1/3 cups grated Gouda cheese

  5. 1/2 cup finely chopped ham

  6. 3 tbsp. English gin

  7. 2 tbsp. minced fresh chives

  8. croutons

  1. Heat broth to a boil in a large saucepan. Beat together eggs and cream in a large bowl until well blended. Stir in Gouda and ham. Slowly pour Gouda mixture into broth, stirring constantly. Stir in gin. Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with chives and croutons.
