  1. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz All-purpose flour - plus

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml All-purpose flour

  3. 1 teaspoon 5ml Baking soda

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  5. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Light brown sugar - (firmly packed)

  6. 6 tablespoons 90ml Sugar

  7. 1 Lightly-salted butter or margarine - softened

  8. 1 Egg - beaten

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla extract

  10. 1 Semisweet chocolate chips - (6 oz)

  11. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Chopped walnuts

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In a mixer bowl beat sugars and butter on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Stir in chips and walnuts.

  3. On ungreased baking sheets, drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 1 minute. Remove and cool on racks.

  4. This recipe yields 4 dozen cookies.
