    1. 1 c. shortening

    2. 2 c. brown sugar

    3. 2 eggs

    4. 1/2 c. water

    5. 3 1/2 c. flour

    6. 1 tsp. soda

    7. 1 tsp. salt

    1. Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, eggs and water. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake about 8 minutes in preheated 400 degree oven.
