  1. 2 packets

  2. (3.98 ounces each ) MAGGI Sofrito Seasoning Paste (tomato, garlic, onion)

  3. 4 to 6 teaspoons MAGGI Granulated Chicken Flavor Tomato Bouillon

  4. 2 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce from a can , seeded if desired and finely chopped

  5. 2 teaspoons canned adobo sauce from the chipotle chiles

  6. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  7. 6 cups water

  1. PLACE sofrito, bouillon, chiles and adobo sauce in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Heat oil in large dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sofrito mixture to saucepan; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture has thickened. Add water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.

  2. Serving suggestions: Add fried tortilla strips, pasilla chile strips, queso fresco, sliced avocado, shredded cooked chicken, onion and cilantro before serving.
