  8. 1/3 cup White corn sirup

  9. 1/3 cup Strained honey

  10. 1/4 cup Water

  11. 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  12. 2 Egg whites

  13. 1 cup Chopped nuts

  14. 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla

  15. 1/2 pound Dipping chocolate

  16. Combine sugar, sirup, honey, and water. Stir occasionally. Boil to hard ball

  18. Add salt to eggs. Beat until stiff. Gradually pour on half of the sirup,

  19. beating

  20. constantly with the egg beater or a spoon. Boil remaining sirup to hard crack

  21. 285 -

  22. over fire on asbestos mat.

  23. Beat until thick. Add flavoring and nuts. Pour into well-buttered, shallow

  24. pans.
