  1. 2 T veg (canola/safflower) oil

  2. 1 T minced garlic

  3. 1 T minced fresh ginger root

  4. 1/4 t. crushed red pepper

  5. 1 1/2 c. chopped onion

  6. 3 T hoisin sauce

  7. 2 T soy sauce

  8. 1 T sugar

  9. 2 cups of chopped cabbage, celery, red peppers

  10. 1 lb. ground beef (or turkey)

  11. 2 T water

  12. 2 T oil

  13. 1/2 t black pepper

  14. 12 oz. spaghetti noodles (whole wheat or regular), cooked and drained

  15. 1 T ketchup

  16. 2 T sesame oil

  17. 1/2 c. sliced green onions Julienned cucumbers, chopped cilantro for garnish

  1. Mix water, 1 T oil, black pepper in raw meat to season. Heat 1 t. oil in skillet over medium high heat and saute half of minced ginger, green onion and garlic, red pepper flakes, chopped onions for 30 seconds. Do not burn. Add meat and saute until done. Pour meat aside in bowl. In small bowl combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, sugar. In large skillet, cook sauce over medium high heat for 30 seconds. Mix in meat mixture and simmer. In separate skillet, heat 1 t. oil over medium high heat and sauté vegetables for 1 minute. Mix vegetables together with meat sauce, add sesame oil. Serve meat/veggie mixture over pasta. Garnish with cucumbers, cilantro, scallions. Enjoy, Yum!
