  1. 3/4 lb Unsalted butter or margarine

  2. -OR beef suet

  3. 3/4 lb Raisins

  4. 3/4 lb Currants,

  5. 3/4 lb Sultanas

  6. 3/4 lb Chopped apples

  7. 3 oz Citron

  8. 3 oz Candied lemon peel

  9. 3 oz Candied orange peel

  10. 1/2 lb Almonds

  11. 1/8 ts Cinnamon

  12. 1/8 ts Mace

  13. 1/8 ts Allspice

  14. 1/8 ts White pepper

  15. 3/4 c Brandy

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 325F. Combine all ingredients and grind twice through the finest blade of your meat grinder. Place in a lidded oven-proof pot and place in the oven. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in brandy. Store the mincemeat in a cool place for at least 1 week before using, or up to 6 months.
