  1. 225g butter

  2. 220g dark brown soft sugar

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 160g porridge oats

  5. 250g plain flour

  6. 120g wholemeal flour

  7. 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  9. 160g dried cranberries

  10. 80g white chocolate, chopped

  11. 80g plain chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Line a baking tray with parchment.

  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the oats, flour, wholemeal flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, stir in the cranberries, white chocolate and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking tray.

  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
