  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Fresh asparagus - trimmed

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Butter - melted

  3. 4 tablespoons 60ml Fresh lemon juice

  4. 4 teaspoons 20ml Grated lemon peel - divided

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the asparagus in a 9- by 13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the butter, lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons of the lemon peel; mix well and pour over the asparagus. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until desired tenderness.

  3. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining 2 teaspoons lemon peel. Serve immediately.

  4. This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: 6 to 8 asparagus stalks.
