  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Grated fresh ginger

  2. 4 cups 948ml Stock or water

  3. 3/4 teaspoon 3.8ml Salt

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Cumin seeds - toasted

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Black pepper One lemon - juice of Fresh coriander leaves

  1. Recipe Instructions Put grated ginger and stock into a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes till the water has reduced by half. Add salt, cumin and pepper. Simmer for another 2 minutes. Squeeze in lemon juice and garnish with coriander. Excellent as a cold remedy and as a starter to an Indian meal.
