  2. VEGETARIAN CHILI WITH RICE

  7. 15 1/2 oz Can Red Kidney Beans

  8. 15 oz Can Great Northern Beans

  9. 8 oz Can Tomato Sauce

  10. 3/4 c Chopped Green Pepper

  11. 1/2 c Chopped onion

  12. 1 tb Chili powder

  13. 1 t Sugar

  14. 1/2 ts Dried Basil, crushed

  15. 14 1/2 oz Can Tomatoes, cut up

  16. 2 x Cloves Garlic, minced

  17. 2 c Hot cooked Rice

  18. drained

  19. Place all ingredients except cooked rice in a large

  20. saucepan. Add 1 cup water. Tomatoes should be

  21. undrained. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer.

  22. covered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. I like

  23. to add a shot of Tabasco sauce at this point.

  24. Top each serving of chili with 1/2 cup hot cooked
