  1. 1 1/2 cups white sugar

  2. 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

  3. 2 cups water

  4. 21 buttery round crackers

  5. 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

  6. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  7. 2 tablespoons butter

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium saucepan, mix together sugar, cream of tartar, and water. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Drop in buttery round crackers, boil 2 minutes longer. Pour cracker mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
