  1. 1/2 cup moong daal

  2. 1/2 cup urad daal

  3. 1 onion

  4. 2 teaspoons coriander seeds -- powdered

  5. 1 green chile

  6. 1/2 teaspoon chile powder

  7. 1 teaspoon salt

  8. 1 teaspoon ginger

  9. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  1. Preparation : 1. Soak urad daal and moong daal for 2-3 hours.

  2. Grind daals into a coarse paste.

  3. Add finely chopped onion, salt, coriander powder, chile powder OR green chile, ginger and soda. Mix well and set aside for 4-5 minutes.

  4. Fry small spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil.
