  6. 2 c Flour

  7. 3 ts Baking powder

  8. 1/2 ts Salt

  9. 1/2 c Shortening

  10. 1 c Sugar

  11. 2 Eggs

  12. 3/4 c Milk

  13. 1 ts Vanilla

  14. 1/2 c Brown sugar; firmly packed

  15. 3/4 c Nuts; chopped

  16. 1/4 c Butter; or margarine, melted

  17. Whipped cream

  18. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend together shortening

  19. 2 eggs, one at a time; beat for 1 minute.

  20. Combine milk and vanilla. Add alternately with dray ingredients. Blend

  21. thoroughly. Pour into well greased and lightly floured 12x8x2-inch pan.

  22. Combine brown sugar, nuts and butter or margarine, melted. Sprinkle over

  23. 35-40 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
