  1. DRESSING:

  2. 1 cup low-fat mayonnaise

  3. 2 1/2 tablespoons basil leaves, fresh, chopped or 1 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

  4. 1 teaspoon grated lemon

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice SALAD:

  6. 7 ounces pasta shells

  7. 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked crisp, crumbled (it's easier to chop the bacon before cooking)

  8. 1 1/2 cups turkey (or chicken) cut into strips

  9. 1 1/2 cups lettuce , shredded

  10. 1 cup low-fat Swiss or cheddar cheese cut into small cubes

  11. 1 cup chopped tomato

  12. 1 cup pea s

  1. Cook pasta as directed on package. Rinse pasta in cold water; drain. Mix together mayonnaise, basil, lemon peel and lemon juice in a large bowl to form dressing. Add pasta, bacon (reserving 2 tbs for topping), turkey, lettuce, cheese tomato and peas to dressing.

  2. Mix well.

  3. Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours to blend flavors.

  4. Sprinkle with reserved bacon.
