  2. 3 tbsp. butter

  3. 4 large onions, peeled and thinly sliced

  4. 1 tsp. caraway seeds

  5. 1 clove garlic, minced

  6. 1 tsp. dried dill weed

  7. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  8. 2 1/2 pounds pork shoulder, cubed

  9. 1/2 cup water

  10. 1 tbsp. paprika

  11. 1 pound prepared sauerkraut

  12. 1/2 cup sour cream

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook 8 to 10 minutes until tender and browned. Stir in caraway seeds, garlic, dill and pepper. Transfer onion mixture to a crockpot. Layer pork cubes over top. Pour in water. Sprinkle paprika over pork and layer sauerkraut over. Cover and cook 6 to 8 hours on low until pork is tender. Stir in sour cream just before serving.
