  2. Steel Trolley Diner's Fresh Apple Crumb Pie

  7. 4 1/2 cups apples -- sliced

  8. 1 cup sugar

  9. 4 tablespoons flour

  10. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  11. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  12. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  13. 1 9-inch pie shell -- unbaked

  14. Mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Put apples in large bowl and pour

  15. flour mixture over it. Stir well. Put into shell and cover with crumb

  16. 1/4 lb. butter,

  17. 1 c. flour and 3/4 c.

  18. 350 degrees for 45 minutes to

  19. 1 hour or until done.

  24. love it," says Allison of her job, which she works on a volunteer

  25. basis. "If you don't enjoy what your're doning, you won't be successful

  26. at it." The duo sells such tasty varieties as apple raisin and the

  27. 1.60 a slice. Sutherin and Allison not

  28. only make their pies from scratch, they make them from memory; the

  29. bakers haven't looked at a riecie since, well, as long as they can
