  1. 500 grams 17oz Potatoes

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Vanaspati

  3. 1 teaspoon 5ml Mustard oil

  4. 2 Red chiles

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Cumin seeds

  6. 2 teaspoons 10ml Onions - minced (small)

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Red chile powder

  8. 1 tablespoon 15ml Turmeric

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Garam masala powder

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Sugar Salt - to taste

  11. 1 Ginger - (1-inch)

  12. 1 Tomato - cut in large chunks (small)

  13. 3 cups 711ml Water

  1. Recipe Instructions Boil potatoes. Peel potatoes and cut into equal pieces. Heat oil in pan. When it smokes, put in chiles and cumin seed. Add onion and fry it until brown. Add chile powder, turmeric, garam masala, sugar, salt, ginger and potato pieces. Keep stirring for 5-7 minutes. Add tomato and 1 cup water. Cook on medium heat until water absorbed. Serve with fluffy puris.
