  1. 1 cup butter, softened

  2. 2 cups sugar

  3. 6 eggs

  4. 1 teaspoon almond extract

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 3 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  8. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  9. 1/2 cup sour cream

  10. 2 cups diced fresh peaches

  11. Confectioners' sugar

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the extracts. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with the sour cream. Fold in the peaches.

  2. Pour into a greased and floured 10-in. fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 F. for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center come out clean. Cool for 15 minutes before removing form the pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioners’ sugar if deseried. Yield: 12-16 servings.
