  1. 1/2 cup 118ml Unsweetened applesauce

  2. 4 oz 113g Unsweetened baking chocolate - melted and cooled

  3. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Granulated sugar

  4. 2 teaspoons 10ml Vanilla

  5. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Fat-free cholesterol-free egg product

  6. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

  7. 2 teaspoons 10ml Baking powder

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  9. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Powdered sugar

  1. Mix applesauce, chocolate, granulated sugar and vanilla in large bowl. Mix in egg product, 1/4 cup at a time. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours.

  2. Heat oven to 350°. Grease cookie sheet.

  3. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar; roll around to coat. Shape into balls. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly in center. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

  5. Cookie: 55 calories (10 calories from fat); 1 g fat (1 g saturated); 0 mg cholesterol; 35 mg sodium; 10 g carbohydrate (0 g dietary fiber); 1 g protein.
