    2. 1/4 pound dried beef

    3. 2 tablespoons corn oil

    4. 1 pint milk

    5. 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch

    6. Pepper and salt to taste

    1. Coarsely shred the dried beef.

    2. Scald it and place in a small frying pan with the corn oil.

    3. Cook two or three minutes until it looks dry.

    4. Add the cornstarch and gradually the milk.

    5. Stir until boiling, season, and serve on toast, on split tea biscuits or with mashed or baked potatoes.
