  1. 1 bag(s) Rice , you can use brown rice, white rice, whole grain rice. It will all taste wonderful

  2. 1 pound(s) steak tips , you can use steak stew meat or steak stir fry cut up.

  3. 1 cup(s) ketchup

  4. 3 tablespoon(s) yellow mustard

  5. 3/4 cup(s) brown sugar , i think the granulated kind works best(less sticky)

  6. 1 pinch(es) black pepper

  7. 1 cup(s) chopped onion

  8. 1 cup(s) green pepper , this is optional. my hubby doesnt like but i prefer.

  9. 1/2 cup(s) water

  10. 2 tablespoon(s) oil

  11. 2 tablespoon(s) butter/marg.

  1. Boil your rice since it will take more time than the steak to cook and you can set aside. While your rice is cooking heat on med-high your oil and throw in the chopped onions. Give the onions a minute to cook and then throw in your steak. Cook the steak with a bit of black pepper for 2-4 minutes till just the pink is gone from the outside of the meat. Then add your ketchup, mustard and brown sugar to the pan of steak and onion.Let this simmer for only 2-3 minutes. When your rice is done cooking mix in the butter or margarine. To serve place rice on a plate or bowl and top with the steaktips in sauce.
