  5. 1 pk Active dry yeast

  6. 3 c Warm water;

  7. 110-115 degrees

  8. 1 1/2 c Whole wheat flour

  9. 1 c Old fashioned oats

  10. 1 Egg plus

  11. 1 egg yolk

  12. 1/4 c Sesame seeds

  13. 1/4 c Salted sunflower seeds

  14. 1/4 c Vegetable oil

  15. 3 tb Butter or margarine; softene

  16. 2 tb Sugar

  17. 1 1/2 ts Salt

  18. 1 ts Caraway seed

  19. 1/2 ts Vinegar

  20. 5 1/2 c All-purpose flour

  21. 2 tb Water

  22. Additional oats

  23. Recipe by: TASTE OF HOME - OCT/NOV 95 In a bowl,

  24. dissolve yeast in warm water. Add whole wheat flour,

  25. oats, 1 egg, sesame and sunflower seeds, oil, butter,

  26. sugar, salt, caraway, vinegar and 2 cups all-purpose

  27. flour; beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour

  28. to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured board; knead

  29. until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 min. Place in a

  30. greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

  31. Punch dough down. Shape into round balls; roll each into a 4-1/2 circle. Place on greased baking sheets.

  32. Beat egg yolk with water; brush over buns. Sprinkle

  33. with oats. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45

  34. 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until

  35. golden brown. --
