  1. Marinade:

  2. 1/2 tablespoon sugar

  3. 1 teaspoon salt

  4. 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce or 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  5. 1-2 tablespoons cornflour mixed in

  6. 1 tablespoon water

  7. 225g pork fillet, sliced

  8. 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets

  9. 1 tablespoon groundnut oil

  10. 6 dried shrimp, soaked

  11. 250ml water

  1. Make the marinade by mixing together the sugar, salt, soy sauce and cornflour slurry. Mix in the pork, let marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Add the cauliflower and cook for 3 minutes or until tender. Drain and cool under a running cold tap. Set aside.

  3. Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir-fry the pork until it is cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in the shrimp and stir-fry until fragrant, 2-3 minutes. Stir in cauliflower florets.

  4. Add 250ml water and bring it to the boil. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes. Add some salt to taste and serve hot.
