  1. 1 tablespoon butter

  2. 1 garlic clove , minced

  3. 3 tablespoons Ritz cracker crumbs

  4. 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  5. 3/4 lb Brussels sprouts , trimmed and halved or 3 cups Brussels sprouts

  6. 1/2 cup water

  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

  9. 1 1/2 tablespoons walnuts , TOASTED finely chopped

  10. 1/2 ounce asiago cheese , shaved

  1. Heat butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic; cook 1 minute or just until golden, stirring constantly.

  3. Add cracker crumbs; cook 1 minute or until lightly browned, stirring constantly.

  4. Transfer crumb mixture to a cup.

  5. Heat oil over medium heat.

  6. Add brussels sprouts to pan; cook until a tad brown-stir frequently, add 1/4 cup of water and cook until leaves wilt and cores are crisp-tender, stirring frequently- add more water IF needed-takes about 15 minutes.

  7. Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper, stir in cracker crumbs.

  8. Top with walnuts or Bacon Jam and cheese.

  9. Serve warm.
