  1. 4 medium-size Spanish onions , sliced paper-thin

  2. 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  3. 1 quart vegetable oil

  4. Salt

  5. Deep fryer and basket

  1. In a large bowl, toss together the onions with the flour.

  2. Pour the oil into the deep fryer and heat to 360. About 1 cup at a time, add the onions and fry until golden brown. Drain the onions on paper towels and repeat the process with the remaining onions. Serve hot.
