  1. 1 1/4 cups ketchup

  2. 1 cup tomato sauce

  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar (Dixie Crystals)

  4. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

  5. 2 tablespoons honey

  6. 2 tablespoons molasses

  7. 1 tablespoon hickory liquid smoke , flavor 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  8. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  9. 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  10. 1 teaspoon onion powder

  11. 3/4 teaspoon paprika , powder

  12. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  13. 1/4 teaspoon celery seed

  14. 1/8 teaspoon chili powder

  1. In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, honey and molasses.

  2. Add all the remaining spices.

  3. Bring to a boil and then simmer for approximately 10-15 minutes or until the desired consistency is obtained.

  4. Freeze any remaining barbecue sauce.
