  2. 12 fresh mint leaves

  3. 1/2 lime, juice of

  4. 7 ounces carbonated lemon-lime beverage or 7 ounces club soda

  5. 2 teaspoons simple syrup or 4 teaspoons sugar

  6. mint sprig

  1. Crush mint leaves and lime juice in a tall glass.

  2. Cover with simple syrup and fill glass with ice.

  3. Add rum and lemon lime soda (or club soda), stir well.

  4. Add mint to garnish.
