  1. 500g calamari rings

  2. 250g baby octopus, cleaned

  3. 1/4 cup olive oil

  4. 1/4 cup soy sauce

  5. 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  6. 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce

  7. 3 green onions, sliced

  8. 2 small red chillies, chopped

  9. Juice 1 lemon or lime

  10. Baby rocket, to serve

  1. Combine calamari and octopus in a bowl. Pour combined oil, sauces, onion, chilli, juice and garlic over and toss well.

  2. Allow to marinate for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Preheat a barbecue plate on high. Cook calamari and octopus for 5-10 minutes, until tender. Toss with rocket and serve.

  4. Top tips Try this marinade with fish of choice or prawns.

  5. The longer you marinate the octopus the better it is.
