  1. 3/4 cup mayonnaise

  2. 2 tablespoons basil leaves , fresh, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried basil

  3. 1 teaspoon lemon, rind of , grated

  4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  5. 7 ounces pasta shells , small

  6. 6 slices bacon , cooked crisp, crumbled

  7. 1 1/2 cups turkey , smoked cut into strips

  8. 1 1/2 cups lettuce , shredded

  9. 1 cup cheese , shredded, your favorite kind

  10. 1 large tomato , chopped (1 Cup)

  1. Cook pasta as directed on package; omitting salt.

  2. Rinse pasta in cold water; drain.

  3. Mix together mayonnaise, basil, lemon peel and lemon juice in a large bowl to form dressing.

  4. Add pasta, bacon (reserving 2 Tbl for topping), turkey, lettuce, cheese and tomato to dressing.

  5. Mix well.

  6. Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours to blend flavors.

  7. Sprinkle with reserved bacon.

  8. Serve.
