  1. 3/4 cup (180ml) barbecue sauce

  2. 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  3. 1 tablespoon honey

  4. cup (60ml) orange juice

  5. 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  6. 1 clove garlic, crushed

  7. 2cm piece fresh ginger (10g), grated

  8. 2kg slabs american-style pork spareribs

  1. Combine sauces, honey, juice, sugar, garlic and ginger in large shallow dish; add ribs, turn to coat in marinade. Cover; refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan-forced.

  3. Brush ribs both sides with marinade; place, in single layer, in large shallow baking dish; roast, covered, 45 minutes. Uncover; roast about 15 minutes or until ribs are browned. Serve with fried rice, if desired.
