  1. for Preparation Preheat oven to 375° F. First of all, let's work on the cookie batter. For this, beat together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl, until you get a creamy concoction. You can also use an electric mixer to speed up the cream making process. Then, gently add flour and baking soda to the butter mixture, while stirring continuously. Lastly, add macadamia nuts and white chocolate. In an ungreased cookie sheet, drop batter by rounded teaspoons, and make sure you leave space between the cookies. Bake them in the preheated oven for 9 - 10 minutes. By this time, the center of the cookies will set, while the edges turn golden brown. Place white chocolate macadamia nut cookies on the wire rack for cooling, before you transfer them in a storage container.

  2. Macadamia Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients 1⅛ cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 cup macadamia nuts (chopped)

Chocolate Dipped Macadamia Nut Shortbread Cookies Ingredients 2 cups sifted flour ¾ cup chopped macadamia nuts 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening 1 cup butter ¾ powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla for Preparation In a mixing bowl, whisk together butter, sugar, and vanilla until the mixture turns light and fluffy. Add flour into the mixture slowly. Ensuring that you have blended the dough well, stir in macadamia nuts. Place dough on a wax paper, and roll it out to about 2 inch diameter. Ensure that your roll is evenly thick. Wrap paper and foil, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. If time permits, allow it to chill overnight. Next day, remove roll from refrigerator and cut it into slices (¼ - ½ inch thickness). Arrange them on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Heat oven to 300° F and bake for about 20 minutes or till your shortbread cookies are done. Remove from oven and allow them to cool down a bit. For dipping mixture, melt chocolate chips in a small bowl and add vegetable shortening. Dip one end of shortbread cookie into melted chocolate and place in wax sheet. Repeat this for the remaining cookies and chill till chocolate solidifies. Store cookies in a cool place. Your yummy macadamia shortbread cookie is ready for serving.
