  3. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Baking soda

  4. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Salt

  5. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Chopped walnuts

  6. 1/3 cup 65g / 2 1/3oz Butter or margarine

  7. 1 cup 160g / 5.6oz Brown sugar - (packed)

  8. 1 Egg - beaten

  9. 1 tablespoon 15ml Vanilla extract

  10. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz White chocolate chips Maple Butter Sauce

  11. 3/4 cup 246g / 8.7oz Maple syrup

  12. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Butter

  13. 3/4 cup 120g / 4 1/5oz Brown sugar

  14. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Walnuts - chopped

  1. Recipe Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Sift again. Add chopped nuts. Mix well and set aside. Melt butter. Add brown sugar and mix well. Add egg and vanilla extract. Blend well. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well. Stir in white chocolate chips. Spread in a 9-inch square pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean or with slightly fudgy-looking crumbs. Serve with ice cream and Maple Butter Sauce. Maple Butter Sauce: Combine syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Add walnuts, if desired.
