  1. 1 cup sprouted moong (whole green gram)

  2. 2 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)

  3. 1/4 cup finely chopped onions

  4. 2 to 3 green chillies , finely chopped

  5. 1 tsp grated ginger (adrak) salt to taste

  6. 1 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

  1. Blend the moong sprouts in a mixer to get a coarse paste. Add the besan, onions, green chillies, ginger, salt and 1/3 cup of water and mix well. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it lightly with oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tava (griddle) and spread it evenly to make a thick circle of 125 mm. (5") diameter. Cook using ¼ tsp oil till both sides turn light brown in colour. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 3 more pesarattus. Serve hot.
