  1. 1 Tbsp. olive oil

  2. 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms

  3. 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

  4. 1 lb. ground beef

  5. 4 slices Swiss or Havarti cheese

  6. 4 English muffins, split, buttered, and toasted

  1. In heavy skillet cook mushrooms in olive oil until tender and brown. Add to ground beef along with garlic salt and mix gently. Form into four burgers, 1/2" thick, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm. Prepare and preheat grill for medium coals. Cook burgers 4-6" from medium coals for 10-12 minutes, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Top burgers with Swiss cheese, cover grill, and cook for about 1 minute to melt cheese. Serve on split, toasted English muffins. Serves 4
