  1. 3/4 c. sugar

  2. 2 eggs, at room temperature

  3. 2 oz. melted unsweetened baking chocolate

  4. 1 stick softened butter

  5. 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  6. 1 baked

  7. 8 or 9-inch pie crust

  8. Whipped topping

  1. With mixer, thoroughly cream sugar and butter. Add 1 egg and mix at high speed 5 minutes. Add second egg and beat at medium speed 5 minutes. Add melted chocolate and vanilla and beat until thoroughly mixed. Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with whipped topping, if desired. Keep refrigerated.
