  1. 2 bags (12 oz each) trimmed green beans

  2. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  3. 1 Tbsp olive oil

  4. 2 large shallots, sliced

  5. 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add beans; cook 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain; rinse under running cold water; drain again.2. Toast walnuts in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat, stirring often, about 3 minutes. Remove.3. Heat oil in same skillet. Add shallots; sauté 5 minutes or until soft.4. Add beans, nuts, salt and pepper; toss over medium heat 2 minutes or until hot.Planning Tip: Can be made through Step 3 up to 1 day ahead. Refrigerate beans and shallots together, nuts separately.
