  1. 1 1/2 cups 93g / 3 1/3oz All-purpose flour

  2. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Sugar

  3. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  4. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Butter - (2 sticks) - softened

  5. 4 Eggs

  6. 2 teaspoons 10ml Pure orange extract

  7. Glaze

  8. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Confectioners' sugar

  9. 2 tablespoons 30ml Orange juice

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Grated orange zest

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13- by 9- by 2-inch pan and set aside.

  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter, eggs, orange extract, and orange zest and beat with a handheld electric mixer until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until light golden brown and set. Remove from oven and pierce top of entire cake with a fork.

  3. Glaze: Combine all ingredients in a bowl, stirring until smooth. Pour glaze over cake. Cool cake and cut into squares.

  4. This recipe yields 24 squares.
