  1. 5 sesame-seed hamburger buns

  2. 1 (1 pound) salmon fillet , skin removed 2 tablespoon(s) teriyaki sauce

  3. 2 medium green onions , chopped

  4. 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) grated and peeled gingerroot

  1. Coarsely grate 1 hamburger bun to make bread crumbs. Measure 1/3 cup bread crumbs; set aside. Reserve remaining crumbs to coat patties.

  2. Remove any bones from salmon. Finely chop salmon and place in medium bowl. Add teriyaki sauce, green onions, gingerroot, and 1/3 cup bread crumbs.

  3. On waxed paper, shape salmon mixture into four 3-inch round patties. Coat patties with reserved bread crumbs.

  4. In nonstick 10-inch skillet, cook patties 10 minutes over medium heat, turning once, until golden and cooked through. Serve patties on hamburger buns.
