  1. 1/3 cup butter

  2. 6 tablespoons milk

  3. 2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped

  4. pinch salt

  5. 3-1/2 cups powdered sugar

  6. 2 teaspoons vanilla

  1. In large saucepan, melt butter, milk, and chocolate together over low heat, stirring frequently. Mixture may look curdled. Stir in salt, then beat in enough powdered sugar until desired frosting consistency is reached. Stir in vanilla. Makes about 2 cups frosting.
