  1. 10 mediums Red potatoes -- cut 1 1/2 in

  2. Pieces 2 larges White onions -- quartered

  3. 1 large Green pepper --

  4. 1 in.

  5. 1 large Red pepper -- cut 1 in

  6. 2 pounds Sausage -- cut in

  7. 1 inch

  8. Piece Smoked sausage polish

  9. 1/3 cup Cooking oil

  10. 1 tablespoon Dried basil

  11. 2 teaspoons Salt

  12. 1 teaspoon Pepper

  13. 1 pint Heavy cream

  14. 3 tablespoons Cornstarch

  15. 3 tablespoons Water

  1. Place potatoes in a 5 qt. roasting pan. Add onions, peppers and sausage; toss gently. Combine oil, basil salt and pepper. Pour over the meat and vegetables. toss well. Cover and bake 350 deg. for 45 min; stir. Add the cream; cover and bake 30 to 40 min. longer or until potatoes are tender. Combine cornstarch and water; stir into stew. Place on stovetop and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened. Yield: 10-12 servings. Recipe By : Country Woman
