  1. 1 Red cabbage - shredded

  2. 1 Scallions - sliced on bias

  3. Into 1" strips

  4. 1 cup 237ml Mayonnaise

  5. 1 tablespoon 15ml Light brown sugar

  6. 2 tablespoons 30ml Hot chile sesame oil

  7. Salt - to taste

  8. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  9. 1 cup 237ml Peanuts

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cabbage and scallions with the mayonnaise, sugar, and hot oil and seasoning. Let sit overnight, or at least 4 hours.

  2. Mix in the peanuts before serving. Serve with an array of smoked fish, raw vegetables, and pickles.

  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
